Why organic? Simple. To satisfy the high health standards we have for you. We see the importance of a chemical free diet for our animals. This means no pesticides or herbicides have been sprayed on the feed our pigs consume year round.  It also means our pigs will never be exposed to genetically engineered feed and will never be exposed to growth hormones or antibiotics. When you eat our pork, you can also rest assured we have practiced the highest caution in regard to raising your meat.


Why raise our pigs on open pasture? There are certainly more time and cost effective methods of raising pigs. But we’re not in this for the money, or because it’s quick and easy.  We raise our animals the way we do because we value the unique needs of each species, and the overall nutrition of the animal. We also believe “you are what you eat eats”, so we make sure we are feeding nothing but the best.  Our pigs are free to roam and root through acres of grass, hills and trees while munching on sprouted ancient grains and legumes, as well as organic produce scraps.
